Cool mist Humidifier or Warm Mist Vaporizer

If you are one of those lucky individuals who suffer from allergies, cold symptoms or nosebleeds on a consistent basis, investing in a vaporizer or humidifier could just be what the doctor ordered!

A few of the common symptoms that are relieved by using either one of these machines is dry nasal passages and congestion.

Many people get confused on whether to use a steam or a cool mist humidifier; I suggest that you evaluate the benefits and deficits of both models before you make your final decision.

It is important to understand that both humidifiers and vaporizers increase the moisture in the air, which decreases dryness and improves congestion as well as other symptoms that are typically related to allergies and the common cold. Whether you choose to use a vaporizer or a cool mist humidifier is completely up to you and your personal preferences.

For many people, a soothing cool mist is much easier to tolerate than warm steam. However, humidifiers are often very noisy and are known to put foreign particles into the air; in addition, these particular units need to be cleaned on a regular basis in order to prevent the buildup of mold and bacteria. If you are allergic to any type of mold, it may be a good idea for you to invest in a vaporizer instead of a humidifier.

A vaporizer is different from a humidifier in that it releases hot steam into the air and does not require constant cleaning in order to prevent the accumulation of mold. A vaporizer actually boils the water within the unit so there is less possibility of bacteria and mold accumulation occurring, which for people who have allergies to these foreign particles, this may be a perfect fit. On top of these benefits, with a vaporizer, it is possible to add medications such as Vicks VapoRub which helps ease breathing and can also reduce the discomfort of common cold symptoms.

Remember, both humidifiers and vaporizers are beneficial in relieving sinus and nasal congestion that are attached to the common cold as well as allergies. If the air inside of your home is extremely dry, your nasal passages can also become dry and irritated. If you use a vaporizer of a humidifier to add moisture back into the air, this will help alleviate the level of dryness inside your home.

It is crucial to make sure that you are taking the necessary safety precautions if you decide to purchase a vaporizer for your home. A vaporizer can be extremely beneficial to someone who is congested and suffering from cold symptoms but it can also be potentially dangerous if care is not taken when handling the unit. The hot water and steam that is emitted from a vaporizer can be extremely hot and if the unit gets overturned or someone gets too close to the machine, they can get burned.

If you still have questions on whether or not to purchase a warm mist vaporizer of a cool mist humidifier, ask your local retailer or simply do an internet search for answers to your questions as there is a wealth of information available on the worldwide web.

  2. Hi – really good site you have created. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to issue a comment to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically delightful. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief for a merchandising firm. I have always enjoyed functioning with information processing systems and am trying to learn computer code in my free time (which there is never enough of lol).
